Preparation For The Celebration Of the 7th International Day Of Women And Girls In Science, 2022

 THEME: “Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion: Water Unites Us”.

Under Women’s Voice and Leadership (WVL) Programme, through Plan International

Ghana, with support from Global Affaires Canada, GHACOE Women’s Ministry and the Ghana Education Service, Madina-La Nkwantanang and Kpone-Katamanso with our partner schools in Danfa and Gbesteli are preparing to take part in the 7th International Day of Women and Girls in Science. 

 

Fifty students with teachers from our partner schools will participate in the celebration. Ten GHACOE Peer Learning Groups (GLGs) will exhibit their Science Projects .

Science Projects will include: Essay, Poem, Dance, Drama and Practical workable solutions

 

The Celebration is being organized by UNESCO and Science Education Unit of GES Headquarters.

The fifth UNESCO and UN-Women International Day for Women and Girls in Science was  held in Accra 2020, with a call on women to begin a new conversation to advocate for Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) policies that are more girls and women-centered.

Some of the Mentors include Mrs. Georgina Quaisie, National Director GHACOE Women’s Ministry,  a former Head of Science Education Unit, GES, Headquarters.
